D. Green Woodworks was commissioned to create 14 hand carved air grilles for a large banquet room’s new heating and air conditioning system.

Restaurant - East Village, New York City

A collaboration with Frank the owner, for the renovation of the back room of one of his restaurants. After two plus decades the back room, known as the Amalphi Room was in need of a renovation. D. Green Woodworks designed and built by hand this elaborate piece.

Restaurant - Chelsea, new york city

Designed by D. Green Woodworks in collaboration with Frank Prisinzano. This is a Florence style steakhouse. Most of the embellishments are a nod to the menu. There are also portraits of Frank’s dogs, a female Bacchus and a barn owl who, if you eat at the bar, is eyeing whatever meat you have on your plate.

White Oak Folding Chair

Made for designer Drew Veloric. It’s shape is based on a popular Hans Wegner chair from the 1950’s. The hand carved seat and backrest, designed by Drew, are meant to emulate the design motifs of some of his clothing and accessories.

For the beauty products company Violet Grey, made of mahogany on fiber board, D. Green Woodworks helped developed the design, fabricated and hand carved the panel for the door which was built, finished and installed by the contractor. The shop is tucked away near the intersection of 78 Street and Madison Avenue, on the upper East side of Manhattan.

Hand carved owl for chelsea restaurant

Hand carved in walnut, the idea for the owl was that it would be perched on the end of the grape vine above the bar. If you sit at the bar, centered in front of the arch, and order a steak, the owl should look like its about to swoop down and grab your steak.

Designed and built by D. Green Woodworks, this door made of solid walnut with burl veneer panels, has as a round center panel with a sunflower carved on one side and Calla Lilies carved on the other.

In collaboration with Fischer Furniture, D. Green Woodworks carved four shells for mirror frames designed and built for a large estate (“To make the cottage livable”).

English Style pub sign

Carved in mahogany for a new pub in Brooklyn Heights. This sign is based on the sign that hung outside the owner’s mother’s pub in New Castle, England.
